Being a beach girl through and through i LIVE in my swimsuits. I can easily say I’ve got over 50 suits from a wide range of brands and my collection continues to grow every month as i discover new brands to fall in love with. One of my favorite new brands is lOlliswim. With their dreamy colors, frills, adorable bows, and cut out hearts (for the sweetest tan lines EVER) it’s easy to swoon all the way to the beach. I caught up with lOlliswim founder & designer, Vy Nguyen, to ask her a few dying to know questions about one of the hottest new swimwear brands to strut the runway at MB Fashion Week in Miami.

What do you do?
I’m the owner & designer for Lolli Swim
What inspired you to start Lolliswim?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with swimwear. Swimmies are SO fun, bright & playful. There are no rules in swim. After different jobs in the industry, it was the perfect time to start Lolli.
Did you always know that you wanted to do something in fashion?
Yes! I grew up watching some of my aunties in fashion. They always wore cute clothes and travelled to amazing places. I wanted to do the same! Little did I know how much hard work it was & NOT glamourous it is…. LOL. I love it though <3
Where do you get your fashion inspiration?
Everything really… food, travels, but mostly my childhood =D
Dreams and future goals for yourself and Lolliswim?
Right now I have wedding tunnel vision. My wedding is in February so if I can get through launching Lolli’s 2014 season and wedding planning in one piece it will be a HUGE accomplishment.
Greatest Lolliswim moment since you’ve started the brand?
It would probably have to be walking out after my fashion show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Miami. It was SUPER scary and SO much fun at the same time!

Working in my PJ’s & all the fun travel for sure.
