Michael Cinco

Growing up I fantasized about being a princess just as much as the next girl. Being raised on Disney cartoons and typical girl toys definitely embedded a deep love for tiaras, gowns, and sparkly things. As I grew up and the reality of royalty set in I released my princess dreams and swapped them out for better realistic ones. The desire to wear a princess gown someday however, has decided to stay.
Enter Michael Cinco. Born and raised in the Philippines, now based in Dubai, Michael Cinco is one of the hottest designers in couture, wedding, and men’s wear. His love for the intricacy of details and his juxtaposition of elements is what really captures me. Watching his couture gowns strut down the runway was like watching a magic show of women in gowns seemingly made of crystals and beads clinging and dripping off their bodies in elegant designs. Each dress a masterpiece of art and technique, Michael Cinco is a man to be watched as his collections continue to evolve.
I had the great pleasure of meeting Michael Cinco at FIDE Fashion Week 2013 in Singapore and not only is he incredibly friendly and full of life, he is very humble as well. Bravo Mr Cinco, bravo. My childhood dreams have evolved from wanting to be a princess to wanting to wear at least one of your modern day princess gowns- sometimes sleek, always sexy, always elegant, the epitome of a female in power… I aspire to be the kind of woman who can wear a Michael Cinco gown.
