Fall Must See Movie List

Adventures Nov 21, 2014

There are so many amazing movies coming out this fall that I can’t wait to see. You better believe I’m making time in my schedule to grab a bucket of popcorn and get cozy at the Pavalai theater in Bangkok (pictured above).  If you haven’t seen them yet, these are a few you have to put on your “to watch” list!

Gone Girl– based off the best selling novel, this movie adaptation is pretty damn close to being just as good as the book.  I highly recommend watching the movie before reading the book to avoid disappointment.

Fury– Brad Pitt in uniform facing the German army during WWII.  Just watch the trailer.

Interstellar–  Christopher Nolan, Mathew McCognaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, & the search for a new inhabitable planet to replace Earth (based on real science)… why wouldn’t you go see Interstellar?

Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1– I read the books in one go, I dreaded the movies until they announced Jennifer Lawrence as the Mockingjay herself… I’ve loved every movie since & the third installment in the series is finally here.  Now if they could just churn them out faster.

Rosewater– Job Stewart’s debut as a director starring the gorgeously talented Gael Garcia Bernal, & based on a horrifying true story, this movie should not be missed this fall.

The Theory of Everything– Touching & beautiful & based on the life of Stephen Hawkings & his brilliance, between the cinematography, the actors, & the plot, I can’t imagine how this movie will disappoint.

Big Hero 6– Pixar kills it at absolutely everything they touch.  I can’t wait to see their latest project come to life.

The Imitation Game–  Code breaking during WWII & Benedict Cumberbatch? I’M IN.

Birdman–  Sure there are plenty of movies about superheroes lately, but what about when they get too old to fight? What becomes of them then? Enter the brilliant idea for “Birdman” starring Michael Keaton who duh, played Batman once upon a time & Emma Stone, who I love… YES to the unexpected hero superhero movies.

Men, Women, & Children– A movie that explores our relationships & the affect social media and technology has had on how we communicate and connect? Promising to be an honest look at our modern day cultural issues, I hope this movie is as good as the trailer promises.
